I am a retired Army colonel  with 26 years of active duty. I have lived in Stokes  County since 2003.  I am a fiscal and social conservative and a pro-life conservative. I am married to Kathleen Morris and we have a daughter who resides with her family in San Francisco, California.

In addition to my Army experience, I have also worked in the private sector and have served as the Stokes County Manager for 9 of the past 14 years. My service as county manager uniquely qualifies me to serve as a county commissioner.

My vision for Stokes County is to "Move the County Forward" by delivering effective and efficient public services at the lowest possible cost to the taxpayers.  Stokes County has tremendous potential that can be realized through strong and effective leadership from its elected officials.
